The day after Labor day during our second week of school, I approached my third period class, Trigonometry, entered the classroom, and sat at my desk. Just like every other normal day.
I turn to talk to my friends for a while, and then the bell rang at 9:32.
My teacher came in with a substitute. She said she was going into the hall to talk to another student while the substitute watched over us as we began a practice quiz.
